A non-profit, 18+ pinup magazine dedicated to Ignis Scientia.
Current Stage: Production
Perorders CLOSED. Leftovers Sales TBA
Overview
Insomniac is a pinup magazine based in Insomnia, Lucis that features male pinup models, articles on Lucian subcultures, and short fictional one-shots from up and coming creators. It derives its name from the way it keeps its readers spellbound with its risqué content during the hours of late night to early morning. This limited edition issue will focus solely on Ignis Scientia. This zine is meant to mimic a real magazine, meaning that the contents will include editorials (non-fictional style writing); advertisements; full pages and spreads of artwork; and artwork of various dimensions resized to accompany each written piece. Artwork may also be edited to include text over it, as a real magazine would. Currently, we are looking for 26 or more artists and 10 writers willing to contribute multiple works for this project.Contributors will receive a full zine bundle, including a free physical copy of the magazine, as compensation. Contributors may also purchase additional copies and physical merchandise at production cost. In the event that we do not meet our goal, contributors may need to cover shipping costs but will still receive a free copy of the magazine. The zine will be hosted on Big Cartel and Etsy (for upfront VAT payment) and will follow these specs: A4 portrait; perfect bound; gloss cover; 100 - 160 satin pages. All proceeds for this project -- minus production costs -- will be donated to the Third Wave Fund’s Sex Worker Giving Circle. You can find out more information about the charity here: http://thirdwavefund.org/swgc.html.
